What is Botox & Dysport?

Neurotoxins, such as Botox and Dysport, are injectable cosmetic treatments used to minimize the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. These treatments work by temporarily relaxing targeted muscles that cause repetitive movements, resulting in a smoother, more rejuvenated appearance.

What to Expect

  • The treatment involves injecting Botox or Dysport just below the skin with a small needle by a board-certified provider.
  • Mild and temporary injection site redness and swelling is common and usually goes away within 30 min.
  • Results are noticed within 3–5 days with peak onset around 2 weeks and a duration of 3-4 months depending on the individual and the area treated.
Commonly Treated Areas
  • Frown lines
  • Crow’s feet
  • Brows
  • Chin
  • Bunny lines
  • Perioral Lines
  • Masseters
  • Platysmal Bands & More

  • Downtime is minimal and you can return to your daily routine immediately. However, do not manipulate the treated areas, wear a hat, or lie down for four hours post-treatment.
  • Refrain from vigorous exercise for 24 hours post-treatment
  • Wait at least two weeks before any facial treatments (i.e. microneedling, facials, massages, or laser treatments)
